Player Code of Conduct

Polaris Soccer Club is designed to provide an opportunity for local players to participate in the game of soccer and promote the health, growth and development of each participant. That development is not only though the building of soccer knowledge, skills and motivation to play the game, but also through acquiring the necessary habits of self-discipline, self-respect and respect for fellow players and coaches. Players are expected to conduct themselves, at all times, in a manner which promotes the values of the Polaris SC.

Respect for the property of others and adherence to the guidelines detailed in the Polaris SC Philosophy are expected of all players participating in the club.

General Guidelines

  • Learn and follow the rules of the game
  • Play for the fun of the game
  • Come prepared physically and mentally to training sessions and competition
  • Treat teammates, coaches, referees and others with respect
  • Wish opponents good luck and congratulate them in a courteous manner in victory or defeat
  • Acknowledge the officials and thank them after each match
  • Do not use foul or inappropriate language while representing the club
  • Do not damage property or participate in disruptive behavior on tournament grounds, in hotels, in restaurants, etc.

Discipline

Any player who violates the rules and guidelines of Polaris SC will be subject to disciplinary action as determined by the Directors of the club. Disciplinary action may include:

  • Loss of playing time
  • Probation
  • Suspension
  • Permanent expulsion from the program

Note: If dismissal from the program occurs while traveling, the player will be sent home immediately at the family’s expense by the safest and the most convenient means for the player and club administrators. The potential for no reimbursement of fees exists dependent on the final ruling of club directors.
